Betty L. Hadley Mains

Betty, 96, of Danville, passed away Friday evening at Danville Regional Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness. Her family was there by her bedside. At her request, a private graveside service will be held at Danville South Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Lloyd.

Betty was born in Indianapolis to the late Edward A. and Martha E. (Williamson) May. She was a graduate of Danville High School with the class of 1942. Betty married Lloyd Hadley in 1943, he preceded her in death after (50) fifty years of marriage in 1993. She later married Walter S. Mains in 1999, he also preceded her in death. Betty had been a Director Secretary at Eli Lilly in Indianapolis for 33 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Brownsburg.

Survivors include her children, F. Kent (Judi) Hadley of Danville, Glenn W. (Lynda) Hadley of Minster, Ohio. Linda J. Carroll of Greenfield, IN., 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
