Barbara J Skinner

Funeral services for BARBARA J. SKINNER, 84, of Clayton will be held 12:00 noon Saturday, July 22, 2017, at CLAYTON CHRISTIAN CHURCH, with visitation from 10:00 am until time of service at 12:00 noon.  Burial will take place at Clayton Cemetery.

Barbara was born December 14, 1932 in Boone City, Iowa, to Clifford and Anna Burneil (Towers) Truax.  She graduated from Dawson Iowa High School. Barbara married Donald E. Skinner December 23, 1950, he preceded her in death March 23, 2014.  She had been a data processor at Eli Lilly in Indianapolis for 15 plus years before retiring.  She also has worked at Cox's Plant Farm in Clayton for several years.  Barbara was a member of Clayton Christian Church for over 30 years, the Cartersburg Indiana Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, as well as serving as a volunteer for Hendricks County Meals on Wheels for 25 years.  Survivors include her children, Ric (Sherry) Skinner, Rob (Renee) Skinner, all of Clayton, Callie (Robert) Marksbary-Lafayette, 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and a sister, Beverly Finnegan-Ames, Iowa.
