Alma L. Wells

Funeral services for ALMA L. (SHARER) WELLS, 97, of Hazelwood, will be held at 10 am Thurs., Mar. 2, 2017 at the HAZELWOOD BAPTIST CHURCH, with visitation there 4-8 pm Wed., Mar. 1, 2017. Burial will take place in CLayton Cemetery.

Alma was born Sept. 28, 1919 in Lamar, Colorado to E.A. and Callie B. (Owen) Sharer. She was a 1938 graduate of Amo High School. Alma married Calvin E. Wells, Jr., Dec. 14, 1938, he preceded her in death June 12, 1995. She had been an active member in the Hazelwood Baptist Church since 1937, active in her community, as well as being a loving mother and homemaker. Survivors include her children, Janice (David L.) Kennedy - Hazelwood, Calvin E. "Bud" (Connie) Wells III - Cody, Wy., Maurice E. (Sandy) Wells - Cuba, In., 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 18 great great grandchildren. Alma was also preceded in death by her 7 brothers and sisters.
