Alden R. "Ron" Ward

At Ron's request, a private family graveside service with military honors, will take place in Center Valley Cemetery. A celebration of life service for Ron will take place at the Hazelwood Christian Church at 1:30 pm Saturday, June 8, 2019.

Ron was born in Indianapolis to the late Alden Leo and Opal Frances (Western) Ward. He was a 1958 graduate of Clayton High School. Ron married Judy Jo Griggs in 1965, she preceded him in death in 2009. He had the honor of being one of the first computer programmers for Allison's in Indianapolis for 20 years, and later for EDS (Electrical Data Systems) within Allison's for 22 years prior to retiring. Ron was a member of Hazelwood Christian Church, served his country in the United States Air Force during Viet Nam, and a 25 year member of the Brownsburg American Legion Post #331. He enjoyed knives, and his collection of knives was "equal to none".

Survivors include his children, Stacey Ward of Columbus, In., Alden Bradley "Brad" (Deborah) Ward of Brownsburg, grandsons, Curtis McGuire, Alden "Hunter" Ward, 3 great grandchildren, and a sister, Bonnie Littell of Hazelwood.

Contributions may be given to Hazelwood Christian Church in Ron's memory.
