Airtine Wilson

101 of Kendallville, Indiana, passed December 23, 2017 at Chandler Place in Kendallville. Airtine is to be cremated and burial will take place in the Spring of 2018 at Danville South Cemetery.

Airtine was born October 25, 1916 to Charles and Ella (Wooley) Gooding. She graduated from Danville High School in 1934, continuing her education at Central Normal College in business.  She married Maurice C. Newman on April 9, 1939, they resided in Crawfordsville, Indiana. After living in various other areas of the country they settled in Danville, Indiana. Maurice preceded her in death in 1960.  On September 23, 1973 she married Lloyd E. Wilson and they continued to live in Danville until he passed in 1988.  Airtine worked as a bookkeeper for many years for Stevenson-Jensen Insurance Agency.  She was a member of Danville Christian Church and so loved by her family, she will be missed. Survivors include, 3 sons, Stephen (Marilyn) Newman of Hudson, In., James (Judy) Newman of Swartz Creek, Mi., Kent (Beth) Wilson of Speedway, In., 6 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. She was preceded by 1 sister, Mildred Thompson.
